Happy Wednesday, fellow reading addicts!
You know you’re getting old when you need multiple pairs of glasses to see properly. Well… Maybe not old, but stubbornness resulted in this at a younger age than most people.
A couple weeks back, I finally had to admit that my eyes were way worse than I expected them to be and went to see the doctor. I had been experiencing severe eye strain at the end of the day and for someone who spends most of the time at the computer writing or working, it’s really hard to do so when everything is blurry on the screen. It got to the point I was not even wearing my glasses to read. I’d take them off because I’d see better without them.
Apparently, my nearsightedness got better. I’m not as nearsighted as I used to be. But because I was stubborn and not wanting to see the eye doctor, it resulted in some fancy term that basically meant the muscles in your eyes that work on focusing your lenses got strained and I wasn’t able to go back and forth between long and short distances at ease. So we ordered my glasses.
They came in Saturday. It’s a world of difference. No more eye strain and tired eyes. I’m able to see without squinting and things are so much clearer.
All of this to say, I’ll be able to read a lot more now that I can see clearly. I’m quite excited about that.
