Happy Wednesday, fellow reading addicts!

Last week I did some of the holiday decorating I wanted to do outside. Tomorrow I may do a little bit more since it’s supposed to warm up nicely. And then we’ll see if I want to tempt the cats with indoor decorations. Maybe I’ll put some out of reach for them.

Do you decorate for Christmas? Indoor or outdoors or both? Do you have any big plans for celebrating Christmas? I’m still waiting to hear what the plans are this year, otherwise, I’ll just be watching movies and shows at home and keeping it nice and quiet.

If you’re looking for some great reads to hold you over through the next few weeks, the ones below won’t break the bank. Check them out!

Enjoy and happy reading!

Empire Protocol

War is looming. Flight Sergeant Jack Klingerman gets the call.

Teamed up with Ally, a human consciousness in a concierge bot-body, he heads out to New Atlantia in the Federation’s boondocks where he finds two sides ready to blow each other apart.

Resolution can only come when he can retrieve a kidnapped scientist and a Zero-Point Energy generator: a piece of tech capable of accidentally ripping a hole in the universe.

Jack’s only chance at saving the space-time continuum is to track the kidnappers, and the device by taking down a stream of black ops teams. All while maintaining a tenuous cease-fire back at New Atlantia.

Bloody Merry

A little bite for the holidays…

No better time of the year to mend a few fences.

If I’m going to win him back, it’ll take a grand gesture.

Something to prove I’m still the old Mercy he used to love…

The gift is priceless. It’s one-of-a-kind. He’ll love it.

At least I thought he would…

How was I supposed to know the damn thing contained a freaking djinn?!

Time to put the genie back in the bottle. But he won’t go easy. Not until he’s granted three wishes.

The problem? Each wish comes gift-wrapped with something nasty… something deadly…

Time to vamp-up and show that djinn that he’s messing with the wrong bitch.

Bloody Merry is the sixth book in The Fury of a Vampire Witch. You’ve met Mercy before in The Legacy of a Vampire Witch and The Blood Witch Saga. She’s fought against devils and demons, insidious witches, and old-world vampires. When she returns to Exeter, where she grew up as a girl, she’ll find enemies even bigger and badder than anything she’s ever faced before.

Florida Man: The Complete and Unabridged Dark Humor Series

MIKE BARON DELIVERS RIOTOUS, CRUDE, AND ALWAYS UNPREDICTABLE STORIES IN THE FLORIDA MAN SERIES—A SALUTE TO BLUE COLLAR REDNECKS WHO KEEP THIS COUNTRY RUNNING.

In Florida Man, Gary Duba’s having a bad day. There’s a snake in his toilet, a rabid raccoon in the yard, and his girl Krystal’s in jail for getting naked at a Waffle House and licking the manager. Gary’s a redneck living in a trailer by the swamp, but he’s got dreams—big dreams. With his best friend, Floyd, Gary sets out to sell his prized Barry Bonds rookie card to raise the five hundred needed for bail. Too bad things always find a way of getting out of hand.

Following his newfound fame for apprehending Plastic Surgeon to the Stars and serial killer Dr. Vanderlay Mukerjee in Hogzilla, Gary moves back into the five-million-dollar mansion he bought with his lottery winnings. What was formerly Turpentine Acres is now Kensington Gardens, an upscale community that frowns upon Gary’s lawn ornaments and Confederate flag. But when a thousand-pound feral hog begins savaging Kensington Gardens, the HOA calls on Gary to deal with the monster. Little does he know he’ll be contending with wild hippos, a swimming pool full of iguanas, a robot buffalo with alien multiple personality disorder, and his girl Krystal’s upcoming wrestling match, too.

During Catfish Calling, Gary and Krystal drag Prince Larry and Princess Regan through the mud, and a snapping turtle latches on to the prince’s manhood, causing a debate to break out on whether or not to release the video. Will it help or hurt the Royal Ducats? As Gary brawls with a man in a bunny suit at Wacky World, Venezuelans use his property for drug deals and the legendary Dadaist Claude Balls stuns the world with his creations.

In this uproarious and unpredictable ride through the Florida Man series, Mike Baron celebrates the resilience and wild adventures of those who never fail to keep life hilariously chaotic. Grab your copy today!

Blazer: Ghosts of War

GO BACK IN TIME WITH BLAZER AS THIS HEART-STOPPING ACTION TAKES A CLEVER LOOK AT HISTORY.

Before Steve Blazer was given command of SFPD’s Special Forces—before he was a crack Homicide Inspector—he was an elite up and comer on the Vice Squad.

During an Asian drug smuggler bust, two Vice cops are murdered. The killer leaves a signature—one that means something to Blazer’s mentor, Captain John Stanson—leading him to believe the smuggler gang is tied to a wealthy Vietnamese businessman who rules San Francisco’s Little Saigon district with an iron fist. As Blazer dives deeper into the investigation, he clashes with the Federal Agency providing his protection, and when the Vietnamese businessman is murdered, the feds put Blazer on the top of their suspect list.

While the Vice squad pursues a drug ring from the Golden Triangle and a cop killer, Stanson goes on a perilous journey of his own, reliving parts of his violent past where he was taken as a prisoner of the Vietnam War. Blazer takes notice and sets out to prevent Stanson from crossing a line he can’t come back from.

But will Blazer get to him in time? Will the mysterious killer connected to Stanson’s perilous past be brought to justice once and for all?
