Happy Wednesday, fellow reading addicts!
The first week of March is in the books. March is definitely coming in like a lion. Seeing all of the snow all over parts of the country with another system coming across the country this week, it looks like more snow is on the way for many people. Including possibly for myself – we’re waiting to see what happens tomorrow night. If it’s an inch or 3 or more, I can just hope it will be over soon enough. But I know it may snow through the start of May – I’m hoping it won’t.
If you’ve been stuck inside due to all the snow and managed to get through your to-be-read pile, don’t worry. We have plenty of books for you this week and coming weeks to keep you stocked up on new reads for a while.
Check them out below!
Enjoy and happy reading!
This Week’s Special Deals
War is a messy business and anyone who claims otherwise is trying to sell you something.
This is a tale of war and desperation, of grit and heroism. See what a batch of desperate dwarves can do when the chips are down.
Pick up the first three books from the Dwarvish Dirty Dozen series to dive into their tale today!
The dwarvish legions, the Holt’Dwan, are familiar with this but these are strange times.
The dead are rising from the earth in the freshly settled Ysgand Vale and the war just got a lot messier.
So an old custom was resurrected and the Bad Badgers were formed.
Condemned and disowned, the Badgers have nothing to lose and everything to prove. But in a world where the dead don’t stay dead and victory will cost you everything, what can be done?
A lot, if one has the will and stomach for it.
Included in this boxed set:
- Mud War
- Dirt Line
- Dust Song
Magical criminals require magical solutions.
Who answers the call when the mundane police dial 911?
Matt Bordelon—former Silver Griffin, wizard, and the Big Easy Bounty Hunter.
Matt has a good thing going. Deliver justice to magicals? Check. Keep the world safe from threats? Check. Make good money doing it? Cha-ching.
Unless his bounty ends up dead when the paperwork specifies alive, that is. Good thing he’s a pro at avoiding that.
Then he stumbles across a dark witch embroiled in a vicious spell battle with a dark wizard and feels compelled to aid her.
Is subtle magic at play to influence him? Or is it something else?
Matt doesn’t know, but he shelters the gorgeous woman on the run from dangerous enemies anyway. Meanwhile, a powerful magical threat is murdering mundane cops in his town. Worse, no one can identify the shadowy entity behind the killings.
Matt is on the case, but can he survive the coming battles, magical and emotional?
Love is a game Ren never wanted to play.
Growing up in the desert biodomes of Province 5-9, there is little room for individuality and choice. Every part of life is dictated by the Council.
At seventeen, Ren knows her path in life has been determined for the betterment of humanity.
Her permanent job placement, her relationship status, and even the number of children she will have are out of her control. Like it or not, she is expected to marry a complete stranger who was assigned to her based solely on their combined genetic diversity.
When the pressure of spending the rest of her life shackled to someone else overwhelms her, she makes a choice that will change the course of her entire life.
Signing up for the yearly lottery could buy her the time and freedom she craves…or she could be condemned to her worst waking nightmare.
The odds she’ll win the right to choose her own spouse are so low she decides it’s worth risking everything. The lastthing Ren expects is to be chosen.
Ren is thrust into a house with seven pre-selected men. She must play the game while the whole country watches.
As Ren’s journey progresses, she learns the heart can be a fickle thing, and the road ahead might lead to a destination she never expected.
Can she find a way to break the rules without leaving a path of shattered hearts behind her? Or is all fair in love and survival?
A terrorist plotting an attack on Washington DC, staying one step ahead by hiding in plain sight, always there, but never seen.
In the classic government way, a tiger team is built to look into the intelligence surrounding a terror threat. They didn’t count on Rick Banik to break down walls and get the job done, no matter what. He takes it personal.
Rick Banik – the right patriot for a new age. A race against time. A fight against bureaucracy. A maze of red tape and dots that don’t want to be connected. How many people must die for the plot to be uncovered? How many will die if it isn’t?
People Raged will give you hope that such people exist where you can’t see them, doing things that need to be done to protect us all. Rick Banik is your next best intelligence professional. Read People Raged today.
A life-leeching necromancer and a life-loving wood elf. It’s a match made in hell…or the latest dating app.
She talks with the dead while he communes with nature. But if they can overcome their differences, their powers will pair perfectly.
And that’s precisely what Delta Underground Operatives needs: a dualcasting assassin team who can save the world…
I learned all the necromantic arts, but I refuse to mess with zombies, because gross.
I also won’t read minds. Been there, done that, got the scars to prove it. Now, I’ll happily dispatch anyone trying to destroy the world.
But work with a hippy dippy wood elf? My Magic 8 Ball says “Not for all the jalapeño chips in the world” (and I LOVE jalapeño chips).
Unfortunately, I’m stuck with the tree-hugging, long-eared lughead, so I’ve got to figure out how to make this work.
For over 800 years, I’ve embraced life and opposed all who deny it, so joining DUO was an easy choice.
Even easier, since I was already running from a secret left long behind in the elven realm. I haven’t shared it with anyone, especially my human dualcaster partner.
She thinks I’m pure goodness, but I don’t have the courage to tell her the truth.
To be honest, I don’t have the courage to tell her a lot of things.
DUO knows Val and Timmeron are the perfect dualcaster team, even if they don’t. Hopefully the two assassins can figure that out in time, because they’re the only DUO team capable of taking down a crazed elf who wants to zombify the world.
You never realize how much your bad attitude can impact your life…
…until it manifests as a flesh-and-blood monster.
Ever harbor a resentment and wish someone dead? Even if you didn’t really mean it?
There’s a monster for that. It won’t sleep until it fulfills your darkest desire.
Add to that heartbreak, envy, general pettiness, or a common mood swing…
As deep as the depth of human depravity is the well of monsters I have to fight.
Why is this happening? Where did this new “energy” that’s making these monsters come from?
These creatures don’t die easy. It took all my power to kill one of them, and I barely survived.
Can I possibly destroy them all?
ABOUT THE BLOOD WITCH SAGA (SERIES)
I’m Hailey Bradbury: Hedge Witch and Vampire.
My sire was staked moments after I was turned.
As a youngling, the Voodoo Queen took me in. She taught me her art.
I’ve been working with the new Mistress of the Vampire Council.
She trained me in the ways of vampirism, the path of the night.
Witchcraft + Voodoo + Vampirism = what I call bloodwitchery.
Most witches won’t mess with the power latent in blood.
It’s dark. It’s dangerous. But if you can master it…
You can harness the power of life itself.
Monsters and Mambos is the sixth volume in Theophilus Monroe’s expansive Blood Witch Saga.
Hailey Bradbury was only sixteen when she was turned seven years ago. She might be a young vampire—but she’s an accomplished badass witch. After all, only the most daring of witches dabble in blood magic.
Readers of Monroe’s Legacy of a Vampire Witch, Voodoo Academy series, or The Legend of Nyx, have encountered Hailey before. Now, she has come into her own. She may be a member of the Vampire council. Her mentor might be the Voodoo Queen. But no one tells this blood witch what to do. Monsters and Mambos is an action packed Urban Fantasy with a heavy dose of closed door Paranormal Romance.
