Happy Wednesday, fellow reading addicts!

Last week was an absolutely crazy week. And because of that craziness, I got to sit downstairs in my basement and read… you know, because I was waiting out a tornado warning. As much as I hope it’s the only warning for the year, severe storm season is just beginning and I know there will be a few more before it’s done and over with.

I had hoped that craziness would be enough for the week, but sadly, the world had other plans. I had to go buy computer parts to replace the power supply and some fans in my rig because it decided it was an appropriate time to die. Luckily I had this newsletter and other projects done before that happened, but it still wasn’t well timed. Especially when the stuff I had saved to the cloud hadn’t made it to the cloud before the computer went down. OOOPS.

At least I didn’t lose anything but time. Time I can totally deal with.

Now the computer is all fixed, things are working relatively smoothly and I’m working on trying to fit some reading in each night. Lately I’ve been enjoying a romantic comedy because I could use the humor.

Check out this week’s books and let me know what you think of them!

Enjoy and happy reading!

This Week’s Special Deals

The First Human Rider

Dragonriders are all that stand between Middang3ard and total annihilation.

But their numbers are dwindling.

With every passing day, more and more Dragonriders are falling under the scourge of the Dark One.

The forces of humanity and their allies are desperate. They need a new hero to step up and turn the tide.

Myrddin, the resistance’s leader, thinks he might have found that someone…on Earth, of all places.

Word has just come from the east that the Dark One is launching his largest assault yet, but there is still time to stop him. If, that is, they can find someone good enough to take him on.

Alex Bound just might be the rider they need.

But a human has never been accepted as a Dragonrider.

Let alone a blind human…

Alex isn’t someone to step away from a fight.

Not now, not ever, and she has no plans to start—even if she needs to ride a real dragon to make it happen.

The DragonClaw Sword Complete Series Omnibus

What do a dragon and a dwarf have in common? Sometimes, all you need is one thing to bind you together. And when that one thing is fighting to survive…

Alone, Galen Stormwing and Vala don’t stand a chance. Together, they might be able to save each other!

Get The DragonClaw Sword Complete Series to find out how far they’re willing to go to survive and save themslves.

Cast out by dragonkind, threatened by his own family… A dragon with nothing left to lose can be a dangerous thing.

Unless, of course, that dragon is Galen Stormwing. He’s never been very dangerous. He was a failure at school, a failure at gaining powers, and a failure at keeping them.

Now his own parents have told him he needs to do something to impress them within three days, or they’ll have him executed as an embarrassment to the clan. He does the only sensible thing he can think of.

He runs for it. Survival trumps pride, as far as Galen is concerned. Most dragons won’t go to Canada, realm of the dwarf people, so that’s where he must go.

But he’s not the only one fighting for survival. Vala is a young dwarf in school to become an engineer when she begins exhibiting magical powers. There’s never been a dwarf mage before, and not all her people are thrilled about it. In fact, some of them would rather see Vala dead than allow their race to become polluted in that manner.

Both of them are vulnerable, lost, alone — and hunted. But together, they might just have what they need to save each other!

Included in this complete series omnibus:

  1. Clawing For Survival
  2. Clawing for Escape
  3. Clawing for Honor
  4. Clawing For Vengeance
  5. Clawing for Battle
  6. Clawing for Victory

After his ex throws an unexpected wrinkle into his plan, the smuggler mage must improvise to keep an impatient warlord at bay. Guardians of the Keep

A child with secrets

A sorcerer Prince with a broken mind

And a woman armed only with courage and wit …

The idyllic world of Avonar reels under the assaults of its ancient foes, two-thirds of its territory a wasteland, its failing magic embodied in the last weak, dissolute prince of its royal bloodline. But a brash mage has taken it upon himself to repair his liege lord’s soul. Unfortunately, the Prince of Avonar is left with no memory of himself, much less his homeland or his desperate war.

Abandoned in her mundane world, waiting for news of the Prince’s recovery, Seri keeps her promise to relay her brother’s dying words to his son. But something is clearly wrong with her ten-year-old nephew. Secretive, isolated, angry, the boy shows an inordinate terror of Seri’s past connections with sorcerers. Though determined not to care for a child whose life she resents, she finds herself intrigued, and when the boy is abducted by her longtime nemesis, Seri’s frenzied pursuit plunges her straight into Avonar’s war—and horrors she could never have imagined.

All are ensnared by the Lords of Zhev’Na in their plot to destroy D’Arnath’s Bridge and plunge two worlds into chaos.

Wyrmrider: Books 1-4

Four books and more than 1400 pages of mermaids, sea dragons, vampires, and voodoo fill this urban fantasy adventure box set.

You mess with this southern belle… and she’ll ring yours all the way to dinner.

Joni Campbell was raised on faith, family, and chicken fried steak.

But when she falls under a dragon’s curse she has only one option.

She must seek her ancestors in the merkingdom of Fomoria.

But is she the one who needs saving, or do they need her, curse and all, if they hope to save their world?

Wyrmrider Ascending (Book 1) – Larger than dragons. Nastier than snakes. Terrifying as hell. The wyrms have escaped the void. They threaten the underwater mer-kingdom of Fomoria and the city of New Orleans. But are the wyrms the biggest threat to emerge from the void? Will Joni be able to tame the wyrms? It may be the only chance she has to take down the voidbringer.

Wyrmrider Vengeance (Book 2)– Zombie sharks! What the…? When the animate zombie corpses, the newly crowned Fomorian Queen, Joni Campbell, has to find the caplata behind it all. Can she stop the sea-zombie apocalypse before the ocean falls or, worse, the pandemic spreads to the land?

Wyrmrider Justice (Book 3) – Time traveling ghost-pirates… just when you thought you’d seen it all. These are more than cursed pirates aboard Jack Sparrow’s Black Pearl. They are commanded by a caplata and they have their sights on more than Fomoria. They want to unmake the world. But how can Joni and the wyrmriders possibly stop them when everything the ghost-pirate fleet encounters gets absorbed into their world-devastating armada?

Wyrmrider Academy (Book 4) – NEW ADVENTURE EXCLUSIVE TO THIS BOXED SET – With a new brood of wyrms coming of age more wyrmriders need to be trained. But as a half-human and an outsider, not all of the Fomorian Wyrmriders accept Joni’s rule. Now, it’s not a threat from without that threatens Fomoria but one from within. Can Joni and the wyrmriders quell the rebellion or will they depose her and unleash their plan to conquer the other Fomorian outposts and dominate the sea?

The Fomorian Wyrmriders is a thrilling adventure into a world of mermaids with dragons, vampires, voodoo witches, and other supernatural threats. This one-of-a-kind boxed set dives into an enthralling world, includes time-travel, and is chalk full with action and suspense. It also includes an unlikely slow-burn romance between the heroine and a demigod. Readers of Theophilus Monroe’s Druid Legacy met Joni Campbell before–but now she’s coming into her own as a snarky, powerful, kick butt, heroine who rides sea dragons. If you like dragon fantasy books, this series adds an interesting spin on the dragon rider epic. And yes, there are vampires in these books.
