Happy Wednesday, fellow reading addicts!
The end of February is in sight! Last week I wasn’t sure it would come fast enough because it was so cold here. I can tell you, I’m extremely thankful for heated blankets, a good heating system, and layers of clothes. It got down to -17° F here for two mornings in a row. That made it chilly in the house despite the heater running. And now, a few days later, temperatures are positively spring like. I’m sure there will be another round or two of cold weather before Spring really gets here.
I’m pondering a garden this year. I’m not entirely sure I will do it, but the thought is definitely being given to it.
There are some great books gathered below! Be sure to check them out and if you purchase any of them, be sure to leave a review once read!
Enjoy and happy reading!

With nothing less than a dragon as their goal, the adventurers head into the wild. Hope springs when they find a small one, but there is a monumental difference between wanting a dragon and having one.
Raiders seek to steal what the Barber has fought for. An ancient creature rises from within the earth to punish humanity, and a beautiful enchantress fights to stop her.
Goranth draws trouble like moths to the flame. A dragon. A necromancer. An enchantress. A woman from the underworld, and raiders, thick as thieves.

our men, brought together by chance, trapped well behind enemy lines.
Surrender and ride out the war in safety, or fight the enemy until their last breath.
They choose to fight.
Jasper van Ruiker is an elderly algae farmer, drafted into the local militia to defend his village from the invading Tenners. Lieutenant Castor “Mountie” Klocek is a Navy pilot, shot down during an air-to-ground mission. Lance Corporal Javier Julio Gregory Portillo and Sergeant Gary Go are Marine combat engineers, the only survivors of a deep-recon mission to destroy a bridge.
All four are thrust together by chance, and they must learn to work together if they are going to survive, Jasper to search for his wife and grandchildren who fled their destroyed village, and the three servicemen to reach Federation forces far to the north.
Surrounded by enemy troops, they have to decide what “duty” means. Do they attempt to avoid the enemy and exfiltrate to friendly territory to live and fight another day, or do they aggressively prosecute the war despite overwhelming odds?
This novel is set in the United Federation Marine Corps universe, 200 years before the previous series. It is a stand-alone book that does not directly tie into any of the other UFMC novels.

An anonymous ring of bent cops is dealing in vice, graft, gambling, and racketeering, overlorded by a mysterious top cop known as the outside chief. But between corrupt politicians, jealous colleagues, a parasitic reporter, and two blondes with nothing in common, Ness has big troubles pulling the sheets off the bed of blue vipers.
Dive into the seedy underworld of 1935 Cleveland with legendary lawman Eliot Ness in this gripping crime thriller! The complete collection includes Dark City, Butcher’s Dozen, Bullet Proof, and Murder by the Numbers.

In 1875, sixteen-year-old Card Jordan returns from his first solo hunting trip to a scene of unimaginable horror—his family has been slaughtered by a gang of ruthless thieves. Scrawled in the dirt beside his mother’s lifeless body are the chilling words: CARD, KILL THEM ALL.

Along the way, he faces heartache, illness, and the harsh realities of frontier life, all while honing his skills as a gunfighter.
As Card’s journey through North Texas and Indian Territory becomes a brutal quest for revenge while he pursues the gang’s leader, Ned Black, each step brings him closer to his goal—and forces him to confront the deep pain of his loss and the uncertainty of his future. Will killing them all bring him peace?
