Happy Wednesday, fellow reading addicts!
The second week of the New Year is giving me a little breathing room, but not a whole lot. I’ve got a lot on my plate, including some reading and writing, but a lot of projects I’m attempting to get ahead on before I get behind on everything as I did last year. At least most things I got behind on were not time-sensitive things. I’m trying to make sure the same thing happens this year.
And I’m trying to get some things done before it really decides to snow and the temperatures plummet again. We’ve had a few nice days outside and I’ve enjoyed the fresh air when I can get it.
What is the weather like where you are at? Are you getting a lot of rain on the west coast, a lot of snow, or decent weather at least for a little while?
There are some great deals on books for when the weather turns and you need something to entertain yourself while curled up under blankets indoors. Check them out below!
Enjoy and happy reading!

Land on my feet? But I’m a raven, not a cat.
Mom tossed me out of the nest with five dollars and the clothes on my back. Why? I visited my snitch brother in Danvers Sanitarium.
Pariah or not, I refuse to abandon my favorite sibling.
Did I forget to mention mom made me homeless on the night before my first day of high school? The principal took pity, but she stuck me in the boarding house with a nosy roommate.
I refuse to flunk out of high school like the rest of my family. Breaking the cycle is a tall order.
Three of my classmates decide to grief me because of my shady family. The others are part of an exclusive and mysterious clique. My only friend is Ed, a scrawny medium I rescued from a gang of psychic bullies.
At least he doesn’t mind my obsession with ghosts.
How will I get through the first month at this rowdy school, let alone three whole years?
Dauntless
Earth died, but even in death she’s still got a lot to offer.
She’s not going to hand those gifts over easily, though.

Enter Dante Shale, professional Plunderer, and the very best at what he does.
Cool, efficient, and able to outfight anything he can’t outrun. If you need something from Earth, you need him.
Climbing to the top of this heap attracts enemies, lots of them. If you let your guard down, who will be there to watch your back?
Plunge into the far future of the Atlantica universe and discover that the adventure didn’t stop just because Earth did.

Shifter in the Swamp:
Amanda Coulier is a young shifter and ward of one of the greatest bounty hunters of all time.
But Johnny Walker is better with hound dogs than young girls. Especially the kind who can grow fur and fangs and rip out your throat in the middle of teenage angst.
Where to send Amanda for an education that won’t leave anyone in tears… or dead?
Time to start a new school with two more legends. James Brownstone and Leira Berens.
Mix in Summer Flannerty, a young Witch who’s got a thing for breaking rules and just landed in Amanda’s room.
Trouble leads the girls to a relic hidden away for good reasons.
Can Amanda quell the angry spirit that’s on an angry rampage to destroy the campus?
—
Magic in the Marsh:
Amanda Coulier is a teen shifter settling into boarding school with a bounty hunter for a guardian.
Second semester has started and what better way to kick off the school year than using a bounty hunter’s borrowed gadgets to find the Everglades Kemana?
Amanda’s searching for her talent, besides fur and fangs. Magic definitely isn’t it. What about plants? Better figure out magical flora before the thorny green one eats a student.
But class isn’t the only thing on her mind…
Best friend Summer’s acting weird. Jackson might be crushing on her. And a magical mob boss has an offer for her she can’t resist.
Can Amanda juggle it all? If she learned anything from Johnny Walker, it was how to make it work with what you have. Will that be enough?
Maybe with the help of a few friends.
The Man From ACE
He spent his life saving the world from Terror…now he’s become one.
When veteran ACE agent Kap agreed to go on one last mission, it seemed cut and dry. Find the Terror. Destroy the Terror.
He’s a wizard—killing monsters is his specialty.
It also helps that he’s got an arsenal of magical gadgets designed by the best alchemists in the business—the kind of tech that makes James Bond’s wristwatch look like it was designed for the Boy Scouts.
But even a lifetime of spying on Vampire mafias, fighting Pixie nationalists, and overthrowing Ogre cults can’t prepare him for this bizarre new threat–a vicious creature whose very existence could destroy the world as he knows it.
And what’s worse, ACE now believes he’s to blame.
On the run from the agency he committed his life to, hunted by the people he once saw as friends, can Kap learn the truth behind this new menace, or will he and the world he loves be destroyed in the process?
The Man From ACE is an urban fantasy spy thriller that’s packed with action, packed with humor, and packed with heart. The Dresden Files meets 007, the Sorcerer Spy series will make you laugh, make you think, and, above all, will make you keep turning the page.
